Is your hiring process as convoluted as Uber's latest promo for UberEats? It's summer and everyone can enjoy a free ice cream cone every Friday until the end of summer (Sept 22) thanks to Uber and McDonald's. However, the process isn't as simple as some may think. Just like a hiring process can have red tape to delay the outcome, so does Uber's method of delivering free McDonald's ice cream.
The process starts off with selecting "Uber Ice Cream" from the ride-sharing app. If you are lucky, you'll get matched and Uber will deliver up to 5 cones of ice cream and a collectible silicone ice cream cone to reuse every Friday until September 22. You then have to take that cone to a participating McDonald's and hand them the cone to be filled with free soft-serve vanilla. There are plenty of people trying to get matched, but with only 25 ice cream trucks operating in 10 cities, there will be a guaranteed wait. They started operating on August 11, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington D.C., so if you're near or in that vicinity, you could try your luck on Friday.
